Sam Bird won the inaugural Rome ePrix after a very eventful and competitive race. Lucas Di Grassi of Audi and Andre Lotterer of Techeetah joined him on the podium after a fantastic battle towards the end of the race. Today, we have a look at five things that we learnt from Saturday’s Rome ePrix.
Ever since Formula One made serious regulation changes for the 2017 season which saw the cars become longer and wider, the quality of racing in the series has reached new lows. The wider cars occupy a greater amount of space on the track, making it difficult for cars to go side by side through corners, thus reducing the opportunities for overtaking.
Shooting for Engineered Insanity – Formula 1’s first ever global marketing campaign. I was one of the six superfans chosen to represent the diverse fanbase of Formula One and all of us were invited to London to be a part of the campaign.
Formula E is the racing series of the 21st Century; using fully electric cars which race in the hearts of iconic cities, they represent what the future of motorsport looks like. They recently launched their second generation racecar which gained a lot of critical acclaim and now their concentration shifts to finding new locations to go race.
Formula 1 has launched its first ever marketing campaign titled ‘Engineered Insanity’, which brings superfans to the heart of the sport and shows what Formula One is all about; hardcore racing, innovation and of course, the fans.
